1. Introduction of Aramid FiberAramid fiber's ultra-high strength 5 ~ 6 times that of steel wire on its strength, modulus of steel wire or fiber glass 2 ~ 3 times, toughness is 2 times of wire, while weight is only about 1/5 of the steel wire, the temperature of 560 degrees, don't break, don't melt. The discovery of aramid fiber material is considered to be a very important historical process.2. Characteristics of Aramid Fiber(1.) good mechanical property
Meta aramid fiber elongation is bigger, soft, good spinnability, can meet the requirements of different areas of the protective clothing.
(2.)excellent flame retardant, heat resistant properties
Meta aramid fiber is a kind of permanent flame retardant fiber, by use of time and reduce washing times or loss of flame retardant performance.
Meta aramid fiber has good thermal stability, need higher decomposition temperature, and under the condition of high temperature will not melt, melt drop, when temperature is greater than 370 ºC to carbonization.
Heat-resistant property of para aramid is better than meta aramid fiber, its continuous use temperature ranges between -196 ºC ~ 204 ºC, and no decomposition, melting under 560ºC.
(3.)stable chemical property
Meta aramid fiber has excellent performance, resistant to most chemicals resistant to most of the high concentration of inorganic acid, alkali resistant performance is good in room temperature.
(4.)radiation resistance
Between a radiation resistant properties of aramid fiber is very good.
For example, in 1.2 x 10-2 w/in2 ultraviolet (uv) and 1.72 x 108 rads of gamma irradiation for a long time, its strength remain unchanged.
